1st July, 2019
I think some people in this cold weather would prefer to hibernate (I wish I could). As a matter of fact, not at all! I have never seen so many people at the Marion Aquatic and Leisure centre last Saturday. In other words, people are trying their best to be active. I guess the best way is to listen to your body doing what is right for yourself. Sometimes a good nap is absolutely necessary!
I was invited to offer Tai Chi for student wellness last Friday at Walford Anglican School for Girls. I felt honored and a bit anxious at the same time. How would 15-16 year-old teenage girls take to Tai Chi? After all, Tai Chi seems so slow and certainly, not trendy, right?
The girls’ eyes told me all. I knew they were engaged and I felt relieved. I have done my job — to plant a seed in their minds, knowing that softness and gentleness can be powerful and help them accomplish a great deal in life; knowing how to use Tai Chi to connect their inner world for calmness and peacefulness. I hope they can use Tai Chi as an effective tool to help them with their study and life in general, even just a little bit. I wish them all the best!
In July, there are some great upcoming workshops. All information can be accessed through here https://meridian-connection.com.au/our-events/future-events/. Booking is essential.
Let’s breathe and walk mindfully every day.
As Thich Nhat Hanh says “Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet”. I hope this will bring some consciousness into your everyday activity.
We look forward to connecting with you soon.
