What’s Happening

19th October 2020

“Standing along and unchanging,
One can observe every mystery
Present at every moment and ceaselessly continue –
This is the gateway to indescribable marvels”
 –   Lao Tzu, the Tao Te Ching

This is the one of the earliest references to Zhan Zhuang (commonly known as Standing Still like a Tree Pose).

Why is Zhan Zhuang so powerful?

Like a tree, you are one of the great power stations of nature. You share a deep affinity with the countless trees and saplings that surround you on the planet. They have much to teach us. They take strengthen from the earth, from water and rain, from the sun, from the air, and from the space that surrounds them. This is what we have in mind when we say “stand like a tree”.

You are a field of energy. You are nourished by everything around you. Like a tree standing in the midst of all the elements. Nature simply demonstrates to us what is the best practice to restore the balance in its most natural way.

Chinese have been practising Tai Chi for centuries, not only among folks in public parks, but also among small and big corporates and organizations. The benefits of group Tai Chi practice lead to a calm, focused, highly productive workforce. I shared my thoughts on LinkedIn a while ago. Spring is a beautiful season with gorgeous colorful flowers, trees and flourishing nature around us. Find a peaceful spot, stand still and be quiet, being open-minded and knowing you as a field of energy. Let’s see what you will discover…
