Tai Chi – Be grounded, breathe properly and live in peace
April 2023
HelloHello Tai Chi students, friends and enthusiasts, a warm welcome to our 2023 April Newsletter!
Happy Easter to your and your family.
April is a special month for kiddos with fun Easter egg hunting activities. It is also special for me as there will be the first time TCAA national competition on 15th April since Covid (not so much about the competition, but meeting with other Tai Chi fellows to share and learn from each other is what excites me).
Tai Chi is an inclusive exercise which enables people to enjoy excising at individual fitness level. A special event this month is World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day on 29th April with “One World, One Breath”. A FREE event for everyone. The event information is at https://meridian-
Do you know an average person takes between17,000 and 23,000 breaths a day? Breathing properly is one thing you can do easily to reduce stress and tension for yourself. You may be interested in this Harvard Medical school published article https://www.
I am excited to offer Ba Duan Jin Qi Gong workshop again in collaboration with Paige Olsen, an accredited TCM acupuncturist, on 6th and 13th May. It is essentially a two-day Qi cultivation and reconnection ( mind, body, and spirit too) through mindful practice and conscious movements. Give yourself the gift to soak into this two-day course to become more grounded, stronger and calmer. The workshop details is at https://meridian-
We are having a school term break before our new term 2 starts on 1st May. The registration is available online with 6 Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes each week, designed to suit all fitness levels, whether you are a total beginner or with years of tai chi practice. All classes info can be found at Meridian Connection Tai Chi website homepage https://meridian-
Something about Tai Chi and Chinese martial arts is the practice of focus and discipline with wholeness (definition of wholeness is an interesting topic for discussion, another time). This nature has helped me enormously through my life’s ups and downs. I’d like to share this one with you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?
We are looking forward to seeing you all very soon at one of the events and in the class!
To your strength in peace,
Fang and the Team
