Tai Chi- A safe and mindful practice, a healing art from within

September 2025

Welcome everyone to our September newsletter :)

Thank you for those who emailed me about our August newsletter with positive feedback and comments. I believe knowledge is power. By having a good knowledge base, you can feel more connected with your practice, enrich your experience and have more fun. Understanding Yin & Yang in life, hopefully, we could understand and appreciate more about ourselves and others.

Last Sunday was the Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers ( and father figures) who have done the best for their families and children. They may also act like lighthouses for others’ kids. I hope you had a special day with your loved ones.

Spring officially starts this month. It means we will definitely have some warmer and sunny days, but the weather could be very changeable in September; you might get four seasons in one day. Some people told me that they can forecast the weather very well because their bones tell them before the weather changes ! :)

One of the essential parts we teach in the class is the safe and mindful practice.

When we move, we move with a focused mind. We learn how to move properly, and adjust ourselves with correct body alignment whenever applicable.

We also learn how to move mindfully. For instance, we allow the time to move our feet first (with heel touching the ground first) and then the knees, hips, waist and trunk; and connecting with our shoulders, elbows and hands. We pay a great deal of attention to our posture and details in movements.

Being focused and mindful minimises injury risk in exercise and provides safe and joyful experience for anyone who is new to Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

Imagine you are the conductor of a grand concert. Your mind is like the conducting baton and your body is like the orchestra, your breath is like the magic energy flow, the invisible to connect the visible. This synergy works harmoniously together to create deep serenity and joy. Powerful Tai Chi synergy leads to powerful healing within and much more.
