What’s Happening

May 8th, 2019

Recently I came across an article mentioned a heart condition called “Takotsubo Cardiomypathy”. As there is a lack of awareness around the condition, I think it is worthy of mentioning here. One of the major triggers to cause it is an acute physical or emotional stressor. According to Dr. Angela Kucia, Lyell McEwin Hospital cardiac nurse and university researcher, around 80% of those affected as she has studied are post-menopausal women, although it can affect anyone across their lifespan, from neonates to the elderly. If you want to know more about the condition, please visit www.takotsubo.net.

Tai Chi is recommended by Heart Foundation and Harvard Medical School as part of your daily activities to maintain a healthy heart and a peaceful mind.

Thank you for those who came to World Tai Chi & Qi Gong Day on 27th April. About 60 people joined this “One World, One Breath” Tai Chi event. I put some group photos (together with Rosalie) on the website, if you are interested, click https://meridian-connection.com.au/20190427-world-tai-chi-day/.

A recent workshop “Tai Chi for Healthy Ageing” at Crystal Brook on 5th May was a great success. It was absolutely my honor to offer this regional workshop and meet many wonderful people from Port Augusta, Gladstone, Jamestown, Yacka, Port Pirie and Crystal Brook who are keen to empower themselves with Tai Chi and enthusiastic to learn. Thank you everyone for your participation and feedback. A few upcoming workshops are happening this month. One of them will be on this Saturday – “Health Qi Gong Six Secret Incantations (Part 1)” If you are an individual and you want to improve your health and well-being with positive energy and inner peace, then this workshop is for you. Contact Fang for the booking at 0425 845 788.
