What’s Happening

June 8th, 2019

Winter is here, no matter we like it or not.

With a significant number of flu cases this year, we simply can’t ignore the fact we need to be serious with our health and wellbeing as well as people around us. Is there any preventative tools that we can use to gain strength, energy and inner peace and happiness?

As Dalai Lama says “Calm mind brings inner strength and self-confidence, so that is very important for good health”. Meditation, writing, Tai Chi/Qi Gong (known as moving meditation) are all very good activities to maintain healthy and happy body and mind! A friend of mine Mardi May recently published a book called “Pyjama Meditation”, giving you a step-by-step guide.

Eating natural foods that grow in the present season is what our bodies are designed for and prefer.  Remember bone broth is fantastic for winter season!

In June, we are excited to offer a timeless classic Health Qi Gong form “Eight Piece of Brocade” through two half day workshops. The benefits of this Qi Gong exercise include: curing energy depletion and consumptive illnesses, releasing tension and alleviating pain from stiff muscles and pinched nerves as studies show its significant health impact on the entire spine. This exercise really improves your vitality, focus and energy levels.

If you want to have a bit idea about the form, I recommend you to watch a Youtube video https://youtu.be/3K-0JpiJu-o.

To get the health benefit from this wonderful Health Qi Gong form, more information is at my website https://meridian-connection.com.au/20190622-workshop/. Workshop seats are limited, to get your early bird booking rate, book now. It is also a great gift for your loved ones:)

It is wonderful to be part of youth health and wellbeing programs through the year. From last month the Tai Chi for Kids and Families at the Big Family Weekend event to this month, share Tai Chi principles with the girls at Walford Anglican School as part of their integrated education for motivation, self-regulation and self-control.

Great things don’t come from comfort zones.

We look forward to hearing from you and connecting with you soon.

Yours in Tai Chi,
Fang and Meridian Connection Tai Chi team
