What’s Happening

13th February 2022

First of all, wish everyone a healthy and prosperous Chinese Lunar New Year ! This is the Year of Tigerlet’s have a Roarsome Year !

There is NO easy way to achieve great things in life. You have to experience it yourself. It is applaudable to learn from others’ lessons and wisdom, however, I still don’t believe great achievement comes from short-cut. Seeing many crash online courses for all sorts of stuff ( to be successful!),  I often wonder, as life is like a single-ticket train, what is the rush? What is success and how do you define it yourself? How would this success bring you the happiness and peace at the end?

2022 marks the 10th anniversary of Meridian Connection Tai Chi school with the mission to promote Tai Chi and Qi Gong for people’s health and empowerment. I want to celebrate the journey with many who have been part of it. I want to thank everyone who supports me, challenges me, grounds me and inspires me.

This 10-year journey hasn’t been an easy ride particularly during the last two-year pandemic. However, I do see the little Tai Chi spark ( less than 1% of fitness market) start to grow across many areas in Adelaide, even through South Australia though it is still a long way to go. The article titled “Australian Participation Rates in Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong: Where is Everyone? ” by Brian Corless may be of some interest to you.  https://wushu-council.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Australian-Participation-Rates-in-Tai-Chi.pdf

As Chairman Mao ZeDong said, ‘A single spark can start a prairie fire’.

I would like to see more people practising Tai Chi as an effective fitness exercise to improve their health and integrating Tai Chi’s philosophy into their daily activities – leading life in a balanced and harmonious way.

Currently we offer various Tai Chi & Qi Gong classes, including regularly annual workshops from Port Pirie to Aldinga. We also work closely with local councils for community health and wellness programs, including Holdfast Bay council, City of Marion, City of Mitcham etc.

Can you see a single spark spreading and hear the wind blow to help the spread? Imagine the sparkle in your eyes, the reflection of what you see and hear. It has been my great pleasure to work with some bright, experienced and passionate Tai Chi Qi Gong practitioners, health and wellness coaches, facilitators, NLP masters, therapists and artists. Let this collective energy grow as nature does! As this grows, we would love to hear from you – like-minded people and discuss if there is something we can collaborate. We exist to assist individuals, community groups and organisations to achieve your goals. Healthy collaborations are the key to build healthy and vibrant communities. If we are meant to meet, I am sure we will.

My team and I are looking forward to connecting with you in the Year of Tiger!

Stay well and strong, Fang & Meridian Connection Tai Chi Team
