Hello Tai Chi students, friends and enthusiasts, a warm welcome to our 2023 January Newsletter!
Happy New Year everyone and hope you had a great holiday, spending quality time with your loved ones and with yourself. Whether it is a time to read a book with a glass of wine, a nice meal with family and friends, a stroll along the beach, watch shining stars in the sky, listen to your favourite music and have a dance, or show your care to support others. All these things are necessary, important and comforting in our lives to make us happy and connected with each other.
Now is 2023. For many, the start of a new year brings a fresh start and a renewed sense of hope. According to a 2016 study, of the 41% of Americans who make New Year’s resolutions. After 6 months, 46% of people who make a resolution are still successful in keeping it. In comparison, of those people who have similar goals but don’t set a resolution, only 4% are still successful after 6 months.
Goal setting may be a good way to tell your conscious and unconscious mind what you want to achieve.
However, to become one of the half successful people needs some planning and real commitment. Setting a realistic goal with a focus is essential for your success. Often this success requires support from others who are genuinely happy for your success and bring you positive vibes and a listening ear when you need.
