What the Workshop is About

Da Yan refers to big bird in Chinese and represents longevity (like white
crane known as Bai He in Chinese) in Chinese culture. Da Yan Qi Gong
is an ancient Qi Gong practice which was developed by Daoist Masters
nearly 2000 years ago in the sacred Kunlun Mountains in the Northern
Himalayan area, south west China. Its healing legacy has been passed
down through many generations.

This set of 27 movements, shorter version of Da Yan first 64 Qi Gong
form, includes all the basic principles and aims at learning the essence
of Da Yan Wild Goose Qi Gong system to cultivate Qi and enhance
immune system and life energy.

The Rainy Day Practice can be practiced in a confined space, approx.
1m by 1m, which is helpful for those and at times when indoor practice is
appropriate. The form starts with North facing and finishes facing West in
a clock wise direction.

Da Yan Wild Goose Qi Gong form teaching method is based on the
instructions of Yang Mei Jun (Yang is the surname, Mei Jun is the given
name), the 26th Lineage of Da Yan Style published in 1990.
